WELCOME TO SICILY RELEASE NOTES (PART 1)
SO, WHAT’S CHANGED?
Close your eyes and imagine being embraced by the waves of the sea, and then to taste “Arancino” and ice cream… welcome to Sicily! Sicily is the largest of the Italian islands, separated from the Continent by the Strait of Messina and surrounded by the Ionian, the Tyrrhenian and the Mediterranean Seas.
Sicily has a rich and unique culture, especially regarding the arts, music, literature, cuisine, and architecture. It is also home to important archaeological and ancient sites, such as the Necropolis of Pantalica, the Valley of the Temples, and the Selinunte.
Using Sicily as the namesake city of our new release helps describe the beauty of the new features we’ve included!
Two weeks ago, we released new capabilities for Azure AD which enable organizations to identify irregular sign-in activities, anomalous sign-in locations, and connections from possibly infected devices.
It’s never enough though, so we continue to provide new features and functionality with every release! Most of our new features will be provided through regular updates.
Today, we are releasing another significant update to the CoreView portal that includes:
- Azure Application Reports
- Saved Audit Reports
- Predefined Audit Reports
- Complete Audit Information
We are happy to announce some new Application Reports for Azure, plus some enhanced Auditing reports which provide additional insights into how end users are utilizing and adopting Microsoft Azure applications. Here’s a look at these new reports:
Azure Application Reports provide you a full picture of the applications that use Azure AD for authentication within a tenant. You can leverage these reports to view which users are active on the different applications (number of unique users and the total number of users per application), and you can even get details around each individual application or single user (Integrated within the CoreView User Card).
This is a user-centric report complimenting the Azure AD reports that you can use to access details about each application.
AUDIT SAVED REPORTS
Audit Saved Report enables you to create custom audit reports and save them in a dedicated section within the Audit reports area. We are also consolidating reports to reduce redundancy and make it easier for you to find the information you’re looking for.
PREDEFINED AUDIT REPORTS
Predefined Audit Reports include predefined reports that you can generate to see data (such as Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive reports). We now offer more than 15 predefined audit reports and can easily add new ones in just few minutes. This can be easily delegated by Workload to specific administrators, and is something that can’t be done within the standard Microsoft Portal (i.e. customer can delegate access to Exchange Audit entries only).
COMPLETE AUDIT INFORMATION
Complete Audit Information has been updated with new functionality that enables you to select every column in the data view and then apply a filter on any of those selected columns. You can use this information to create a myriad of custom audit report and insights.
FIXED ISSUES AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Double Horizontal Scrollbar! No more vertical scrolling is required to find the scrollbar at the bottom. We have added it on the top and bottom of each table to make them easier to navigation.
- Last “N” Days filter enables a special data filter on any date column to save or schedule reports with a sliding date scale!
- Default page size is now 10 to avoid vertical scrolling in many pages.
Get ready for the next release!
New features are continually becoming available!
THINGS TO WATCH FORIn the coming months, we’ll add more capabilities to create a set of 12 predefined reports and an Audit Dashboard… Stay tuned!
