Biography

Simon Azzopardi is Chief Executive Officer of CoreView, the leading Microsoft 365 tenant resilience platform. Enterprises and public sector organizations use CoreView to back up and restore their Microsoft 365 configurations, govern AI agents and human and non-human identities, enforce least privilege, and recover from misconfiguration at the tenant level. He joined as CEO in November 2023, leading the company’s acquisition of Simeon Cloud on his first day, which brought tenant configuration management and configuration backup into the platform. Under his leadership CoreView has defined the M365 Tenant Resilience category, now recognized by leading industry analysts.

His work at CoreView builds on 26 years in IT security and nearly 30 in software. Simon served as Scale and Growth Advisor to Insight Partners for 21 years, helping nine software companies achieve successful exits generating over $5 billion in shareholder value. He built Thycotic’s (now Delinea) EMEA and APAC business from scratch through to its unicorn exit, held vulnerability management leadership roles at Qualys and Secunia, and spent over a decade at GFI Software as Managing Director and later international Vice President, building channel networks of more than 10,000 partners across EMEA, APAC and LATAM. Every company he has helped scale has reached a successful exit or IPO.

That background shapes how he approaches Microsoft 365: as a security and governance problem, not an administrative one.

His career began in Europe, where at 18 he acquired a struggling business, returned it to profit and sold it to fund his move into technology. That founder’s instinct — building from nothing across markets, cultures and languages — still defines his leadership style.

His commentary centers on a gap he has watched widen for years. Microsoft 365 now spans more than 75 workloads, thousands of configurable settings and a rapidly growing population of AI agents, and no single administrator, nor Microsoft’s native tooling alone, can govern it safely at enterprise scale. Simon argues that configuration governance, least privilege and tenant-level recovery belong at the center of the security conversation, not treated as afterthoughts once something has gone wrong.
