Microsoft 365 specialist CoreView is now offering its free Microsoft365 Tenant Security Scanner. It easily analyzes tenant configurations based on the Center for Internet Security (CIS)Microsoft 365 v6.0.0 guidelines and proven zero-trust best practices. This gives security managers a clear picture of the security posture and enables them to take targeted remediation measures.
Unlike traditional portal-based assessments, which require manual processing of various areas such as Entra ID, conditional access, authentication methods, or guest access, the scanner runs via PowerShell. It generates an offline HTML report on the overall security assessment, including a prioritized breakdown of the results. The report focuses on actionable and effective control measures such as eliminating outdated authentication methods or enforcing robust multi-factor authentication (MFA). In addition, special attention is paid to the possibilities for creating new tenants, guest accounts, and invitations to collaborate.
